He was an excellent punter and passer - also calls signals and scored 20 points in 1959; 74 points in 1960; 70 points in 1961 He was named All Conference, 1960-61; Class A All State, 1961; All American Honorable mention, 1961; Teams most valuable Back in 1960; Most valuable player in 1961; Most valuable player, Peanut Bowl, 1961. Also participated in Track, Baseball and was All Conference, 1960-61 in basketball.
