 High School Bio:

            Halfback from Foley High School holds the following athletic honors: All-State, two years; All Gulf Coast Conference, 2 years; All County, 2 years; Most valuable Back in County; All Southern Back of the Week, Birmingham Post-Herald. Played varsity football for 3 years. He specialized in pass receiving. In 73 carries he gained 878 yards and scored 21 touchdowns. Also played baseball and basketball and participated in Track.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Bart Starr received coaching from Kentucky great Babe Parilli his senior season at Sidney Lanier in hopes of joining Bear Bryant at Kentucky. He had to settle for Alabama.
