Cullman High School Quarterback. Some of his creditable grid statistics are: passed for 1,232 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for 647 yards and six more scores his senior season at Cullman. As a junior he rushed for 598 yards on 138 carries with 13 touchdowns and completed 34 of 66 passes and six touchdowns. His athletic honors include All-State for 2 years, All Southern one year, Tennessee Valley Conference 2 years, and All American one year. He has also participated in basketball and track.
