            Billingsley was All-State, All N. E. A. Conference, Honorable Mention, All-American. He has played varsity football for 2 years and was outstanding defensively. He has been captain of his team. He was All-District in basketball.

The first football game played by a high school team in Alabama was in 1892 when Central Birmingham (Phillips) lost to Alabama 56-0 on November 11.
