 High School Bio:

            Scottsboro High School Center. He received the All-County award in 1959 was Lineman of the Week in 1960, All-Conference in 1961, and Most Valuable Player on the Scottsboro football team in 1962. He made the 2-A and 3-A All-State Basketball team. He has played four years of varsity football, averaging 15 tackles per game. He was also a good linebacker.

In 1969 the two point conversion was adopted for play following a touchdown. Until that time all conversions were worth one point.
