In the statistics department recorded to his credit are 82 runs for a total of 534 yards gained, 5 touchdowns, 112 passes attempted with 71 completions for 670 yards and 15 touchdowns. His punting average was 42 yards per kick. Athletic honors include All-State, All Cheaha Conference for 2 years, and Most Valuable Back. He also participated in basketball and track.
