 High School Bio:

            Dowdy played both tackle and guard positions and specializes in the kickoff. He has been selected as Most Valuable Player and Best Defense of his squad. He was also voted Most Valuable Lineman of the Muscle Shoals District, All-State Team. He played varsity football for 4 years and was captain of his squad for 1 year.

Foley outscored their opponents 433-6 in 1961. The Lions were named state champions by the Alabama Sports Writers Association that season.
