Naylor scored 18 touchdowns as a senior at Sardis. He was considered a kick return specialist and kicked 21 extra points as a kicker. He added two field goals for a total of 134 points scored on the season. He served as captain of his team and his honors included All-State, two years, All-County, three years, and All-County and All-District in Basketball in 1965.
