Fowlers specialty was punting and place-kicking. His average in punting was 42 yards, 8.5 per rush. He scored 91 points and completed approximately 60 passes. He kicked 22 extra points and one 29 yard goal. He played three years of varsity football. He was All State Football, All State Basketball, Captain of the basketball team, Honorable Mention on Prep All American Football Squad. He also played baseball.

In 1925 Langdale tied a record by defeating Milltown 125-0. Hamilton had set the record by thrashing Fayette 125-0 in 1915.
