 High School Bio:

            Hardwick played two years of varsity football. He was voted co-captain of his squad. He was All State Honorable Mention, Nominee for Jimmy Hitchcock Award. His specialty was punting. He attempted 73 passes and completed 44 for 526 yards; carries 65 - yards gained 559 - average 8.6 per carry; punted 19 for 35.37 yards per punt.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
