 High School Bio:

            Dixon played three years of varsity football and also participated in baseball and basketball. He was named Best Defensive Player on his team in 1963, named to All-Conference two years and All-State this year.

The first football game played by a high school team in Alabama was in 1892 when Central Birmingham (Phillips) lost to Alabama 56-0 on November 11.
