 High School Bio:

            Grid statistics show 897 yards gained rushing, 11 passes completed for 195 yards, and 13 touchdowns. He was voted Most Valuable Back, Best Defensive Player, and All-Conference. He was captain of his football squad and also participated in baseball and basketball.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
