            McDonald played four years on the varsity football squad and was captain of the team as a senior. He was All-State; All-Tennessee Valley Conference; Quad Cities; All-Southern; Southeastern Junior Champion in Discus; State Championship Game. T.V.C. Champ in the Shot Put and Discus.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Foley outscored their opponents 433-6 in 1961. The Lions were named state champions by the Alabama Sports Writers Association that season.
