He was Valleys Most Outstanding Lineman at the Homecoming game; All Border Conference Team; He was the-Most valuable Player in Area Four of Class 3A Tournament in basketball; All-Valley Team. He played both offense and defense. He made, in 1967, 175 individual tackles, 84 assists. He played four years of varsity football at Valley.
