 High School Bio:

            Pounders was Most Valuable Back in 1968; Shoals Area Back of the Year; All-TVC; All-State; Most Valuable Player (3A) All-State. Terry also ran Track. He has played varsity football for three years and was Captain of his squad. His specialty was Punting, Kick-off Returning and Punt Return. Punt return average 10 yards and Kick-off return averaged 18 - scored fifteen touchdowns.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
