            Weems was All-County for two years; All-State. He played basketball and baseball and ran track. His specialty was "Place Kicking". He played four years of varsity football and was Captain of his squad.

Etowah defeated Oxford 69-63 in 1991 to set a state record for most points scored by both teams in a playoff game.
