 High School Bio:

            Chambers specialty was "Center & Linebacker". He played three years of varsity football and was Captain of his squad. He was All~Conference his Junior Year; Trophy from WTUF Radio for Lineman of the Week; All-Conference Center ~Optimist Club); Most Valuable Lineman in Homecoming Game; elected the Most Valuable Player for the Season. He ran track and played baseball.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
