 High School Bio:

            Young played varsity football for three years. He was All- WAC Conference (1966-1967); All-State (1967) He played basketball and baseball and ran Track. His specialty was "offense punter". He made 35 catches for 876 yards and 12 touchdowns. He punted for a 39.5% yard average.

Etowah defeated Oxford 69-63 in 1991 to set a state record for most points scored by both teams in a playoff game.
