 High School Bio:

            Fairhope High School fullback played three years of varsity football and was Captain of his team. Jones was a kicking specialist for Fairhope. He made 39 of 39 extra points for the Pirates while starting at fullback and linebacker. As a senior he rushed for 950 yards and scored 13 touchdowns. He was All-County(1st Team); All-State (1st Team); All-America Honorable Mention; Player of the Week (6 times in 1968 and once in 1967). He lettered in baseball, track and golf.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The Tuscaloosa Black Bears were considered one of the best programs in the nation from 1925-1931. Their record over that span was an amazing 61-0-3.
