Valley Head High School quarterback played 2 years of varsity football and was Captain of his squad. He was All-State; All-American; All-County in football and was All-State; All-County; All-Tri-County in basketball, also. He completed more than 50% of passes - his total offense was 2,500 yards- he scored 19 touchdowns- passed for 13 touchdowns. Charles was Valley Heads Most Valuable Player.
Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History
The Tuscaloosa Black Bears were considered one of the best programs in the nation from 1925-1931. Their record over that span was an amazing 61-0-3.
