 High School Bio:

            Cherokee County High School End played three years of varsity football. he was All-County; All-Sectional; All-State in football and basketball; Most Valuable Player in Football. He was Captain of his football and basketball teams. He played baseball and ran track. Over a three year period he averaged 21 touchdowns; caught 73 passes for 1,328 yards over a three year period.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
