 High School Bio:

            Ensley High School in Birmingham fullback was All-State; All-Metro; All-City; Most Valuable Back of 1968. He played four years of varsity football. Andy ran track, also. He carried 462 yards, 2,961 for an average of 6.4 and scored 25 touchdowns.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
