High School Bio: Bonds specialty was receiving kick-offs. In 2 years, of 62 passes attempted 48 were completed for a total of 803 years. He also rushed 217 yards. He was All-T.V.C. and All-Area 2 years, and Honorable Mention on the All-State Team. He also played basketball and participated on the track team.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
