 High School Bio:

            Carpenter played varsity football three years and was captain his senior year. He was selected Most Valuable Back, Most Valuable Player, and Scholastic Athlete by his school; All-County, All-State, Super All-State (2nd team), and All Mid-State Conference. He was also an outstanding basketball and baseball player during his high school career. His specialties are passing, punting, extra points and kick-off. Completed 140 passes out of 265 attempted for 53% average and 1826 yards for 2 year total.

Alabama School for the Deaf won Deaf School National Championships in 1971, 1987, 1991, 2000, 2001 and 2002.
