 High School Bio:

            McLain was quarterback on the 1970 State 3A Football Championship Team from Sylacauga High School. He was eighteen years old, stands 62" tall, and weighs 175 pounds. He was Sylacaugas Most Valuable Offensive Back, Post-Herald All-State Team, All-County Team, and also participated in basketball and baseball. He made 300 yards rushing, 973 yards passing, 55% passes completed, 12 touchdown passes, 10 touchdown ran, and 12 extra point conversions.

Etowah defeated Oxford 69-63 in 1991 to set a state record for most points scored by both teams in a playoff game.
