 High School Bio:

            He was captain of his squad during his senior year and served as co-captain his junior year. He also participated on the track team. He was on the All-Area and All-County Teams 2 years. During his senior year in 10 games he averaged 5.5. points in 206 carries. He averaged 8 individual tackles per game.

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
