 High School Bio:

            Played varsity football four years and also played basketball and baseball. Earned All-State, National Whos Who, All-Area, All-Border Conference, All-Valley, and Best Defensive Player honors. Specialty was defense; made 74 individual tackles and 37 assists last season.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
