 High School Bio:

            Played varsity football three years; lettered four years in baseball and basketball. Earned All-City, All-State, All-Metro and Post-Herald Player of the Week honors. During junior and senior years, gained 1,800 yards rushing in 262 carries, an average of 6.8 yards; punting average was 37 yards; career record was 300 yards rushing in one game in 20 carries.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
