            Played varsity football three years; also lettered in baseball, basketball, and wrestling. Was captain of the football squad during his senior year and named Most Valuable Player by his team. Last year, ran for 4 touchdowns, threw for 5 touchdowns, threw for 157 yards, caught 8 passes for 120 yards, ran ball 87 times for 390 yards, averaged 4.5 yards in 9 games.

Collinsville completed the 1931 season with a record of 1-4-5. The five ties will forever be a state record since all games are now decided by overtime.
