 High School Bio:

            Played fullback-linebacker on the varsity football team three years and also participated in track. He was co-captain of his football team and earned All-County, All-Conference, and Honorable Mention All-State honors. During his senior year, gained 927 yards, averaging over 5 yards per carry.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
