            Played tight end and linebacker on the varsity football team three years, serving as captain four games during his senior year. Earned All-City, Most Valuable Lineman (Huntsville Quarterback Club), All-State, and Honorable Mention All-American honors.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

In 1969 the two point conversion was adopted for play following a touchdown. Until that time all conversions were worth one point.
