 High School Bio:

            He played split end on the varsity football team three years and was captain two years. Received Most Valuable Defensive Back Award two years. Lettered three years in basketball and received All-Tournament honors two years; also lettered in baseball and track. Last year, caught 7 touchdown passes, averaged 40 yards per punt; kicked a 34-yard field goal; and averaged 10 tackles per game.

In 1970 Monroe Academy won the first championship in the A.I.S.A. by defeating Lowndes Academy 6-0.
