 High School Bio:

            Played tailback on the varsity football team four years and served as game captain. Named Most Valuable Player, Most Valuable Back, All-State, All-Border Conference, Pre-season All-Valley, Back of the Week for two weeks in Columbus Enquirer, Leading scorer in the Border Conference, as well as leading rusher. Gained over 1,100 yards rushing last season for 10 touchdowns. Averaged 6.16 yards per carry.

In 1969 the two point conversion was adopted for play following a touchdown. Until that time all conversions were worth one point.
