Gained 1,760 yards rushing, scored 26 touchdowns for a total of 176 points; averaged 7.6 yards per carry. Also lettered in baseball and basketball, earning All-State Team honors in basketball.
Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History
The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
