 High School Bio:

            Played center for three seasons at Smiths Station and was named a team captain. Earned team MVP honors, All-Valley Conference and All-State. Averaged 35.7 yards a punt and was 2-for-2 on field goal attempts.

The first football game played by a high school team in Alabama was in 1892 when Central Birmingham (Phillips) lost to Alabama 56-0 on November 11.
