            Played linebacker on varsity team for 3 years and was captain. He earned Teams Leading Tackler two years, All-State, Post Herald All-County, Team Captain, Most Valuable Defensive Player on team Award. Punting average of 37 yards.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

In 1969 the two point conversion was adopted for play following a touchdown. Until that time all conversions were worth one point.
