            Played defensive back on varsity team for 3 years. Earned Best Defensive Back, Most Valuable Player, All West Alabama Football Team, Super II Team for West Alabama, Top scorer in West Alabama with 140 points. Had 1,243 yards in 1975 as Running Back - averaged 9 individual tackles a game.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Morris Higginbotham coached three different teams to divisional state championships in the 1950s. He won titles at Walnut Grove in 1952, West Blocton in 1955 and Enterprise in 1960.
