            Played split end on varsity for 3 years and was captain. Earned All-American, All-State, Back of the Year by Monday Morning Quarterback Club, and Most Valuable Player in championship game. Received 41 passes for 862 yards and 11 touchdowns, total touchdowns 14.

In 1970 Monroe Academy won the first championship in the A.I.S.A. by defeating Lowndes Academy 6-0.
