Krout scored two touchdowns in leading his team to the 4A state championship his senior season. Considered by many as the number one recruit in the state he starred on both the defensive and offensive lines for Berry. He caught 23 passes for 322 yards and scored five touchdowns as a senior. He was a devastating blocker and was equally impressive as a defensive end. Played tight end on varsity for 3 years. Earned All-American, All-State, All-County, and All-South.
