 High School Bio:

            In three seasons Jones caught 68 passes for 1,206 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. As a senior he caught 18 passes for 355 yards and six touchdowns. He was named All-State, All-County, All-Region and All-South Alabama Conference.

The first football game played by a high school team in Alabama was in 1892 when Central Birmingham (Phillips) lost to Alabama 56-0 on November 11.
