            Played defensive and offensive tackle for three years on the varsity football team at Hueytown. He was named team Most Valuable Offensive Lineman, Kiwanis Club Student Athlete of the Year and selected to the All-County team.

Clay County shutout an amazing eleven opponents in 1996. The Panthers outscored their opponents 613-42 finishing the season 15-0.
