Ware rushed for 2,111 yards as a senior and scored a state record 34 touchdowns. He led the Generals to a perfect 15-0 record and the Class 6A state championship. In the title tilt he ran for 187 yards and a touchdown. He would finish his career with 4,005 yards rushing on 725 carries.
