High School Bio:
Played football for his dad at Fayette County became a starter at quarterback in the seventh grade. He set the state record for passing yardage in a career with 8,173 and total offense with 9,309 yards. He also rushed for 1,143 yards over the course of his career. He set records for completions with 586, attempts with 1,202 and touchdown passes with 63. Upon graduation he would rank second nationally in attempts, and third in completions. He led his team to 54 wins as a starter. As a junior he passed for 2,184 yards by completing 174 of 354 passes and 16 touchdowns.
Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History
In 1925 Langdale tied a record by defeating Milltown 125-0. Hamilton had set the record by thrashing Fayette 125-0 in 1915.
