Tyler completed 200 of 342 passes for 2,485 yards with 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions as a senior. He also rushed for 668 yards and another 14 touchdowns. As a junior he completed 142 of 273 passes for 13 touchdowns while running for an additional 550 yards and scoring 12 touchdowns. He would finish his career with 6,838 yards passing. He complete 22 of 37 passes for 408 yards and a touchdown against Vestavia Hills his sophomore season.
