 High School Bio:

            Rivers completed 107 of 195 passes for 2,023 yards and 15 touchdowns his senior year at Athens. He also ran 65 times for another 323 yards and six touchdowns while playing safety on defense. As a junior he completed 78 of 135 passes for 1,380 yards with 17 touchdowns and only five interceptions. He also rushed 57 times for 237 yards and eight more scores.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
