During his four year career at Pelham, Flowers caught 174 passes for 2623 yards. As a junior he caught 56 passes for 1,031 yards and eight touchdowns. He also returned 14 kickoffs for 343 yards. As a sophomore he caught 40 passes for 475 yards and 5 touchdowns in 12 games.
Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History
Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
