Tyrone ran for more than 1,902 yards on 255 carries and scored 28 touchdowns as a senior at Cleburne County. He also excelled as a return specialist by returning 18 kicks for touchdowns over the span of his career. He led Cleburne County to a 27-2 record the last two seasons. Tyrone compiled 8,099 career all-purpose yards and scored 92 touchdowns. His yardage was the third highest in state history. His junior season he rushed for 1,031 yards, caught passes for 508 yards, had 803 kickoff return yards and returned two punts for touchdowns while scoring 22 total touchdowns. He also collected six interceptions.
