 High School Bio:

           

Kerryon Johnson played running back and was the 2015 Mr. Football. He gained 1,659 yards, 25 touchdowns as a senior. Class 3A Super Seven MVP, and set a championship game record scoring six touchdowns. Gained 5,274 career yards rushing and 109 total touchdowns scored.

He led the Mustangs to three straight state titles. He was the MVP of Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game. Other awards included; Under Armour All-America Game, three time ASWA first team all-state, AL.com A-List, Gatorade state player of the year.

He was ranked the No. 1 prospect in Alabama by 247 Sports, Scout and ESPN, top five RB by ESPN, Rivals, Scout, Max Preps small school All-America, PrepStar top 40, John Stallworth athlete of the year award. He also was all-state in basketball.

Homewood defeated Benjamin Russell in five overtimes during the Class 5A Super Six state championship game in 2000.
