 High School Bio:

            Paul Avant of Wetumpka High was a versatile all-round athlete who played end for the South All-Stars. Under Coach Jack Rays training, he played basketball, baseball, and participated in track. His athletic honors include All-State football; All- Tournament team in Fourth District basketball; All-Central Alabama Basketball League team. Paul played varsity football four years and was elected captain of his football squad.
