Green registered 114 tackles, four sacks and one fumble recovery as a senior during Spain Parks Class 6A Championship runner-up season, the schools deepest playoff run in school history. He was the leader of a defense that allowed only 12.9 points per game. He posted 54 tackles, 18 tackles-for-loss and eight sacks as a junior.

In 1925 Langdale tied a record by defeating Milltown 125-0. Hamilton had set the record by thrashing Fayette 125-0 in 1915.
